Marlen Reusser to lead Movistar Team for Tour de France Femmes

Marlen Reusser led the Movistar Team at the 2026 Tour de France Femmes, which started on her home soil in Lausanne and concluded in Nice on August 9. Reusser, a two-time stage winner in the Tour de France, faced a mix of successes and challenges in previous editions. She secured victory in stage 4 in 2022 but encountered setbacks, including a crash on the penultimate stage. In 2023, she won the time trial in Pau yet finished 28th overall. Unfortunately, illness and injury prevented her participation the following year, while in 2025, she had to withdraw after a crash on stage 1.

Despite these past difficulties, Reusser enjoyed a successful 2026 season prior to the Tour. She claimed the overall victory at the Tour de Suisse, achieving two stage wins, and also triumphed at the Dwars door Vlaanderen in April.

One of Reusser’s key objectives for the Tour de France Femmes was the individual time trial on stage 4, which consisted of a 21-kilometre distance from Gevrey-Chambertin to Dijon. Throughout the competition, she was supported by a strong team, including Sara Martín, Francesca Barale, Tota Magalhães, Liane Lippert, Arlenis Sierra, and Paula Ostiz.

As the Movistar Team prepared for the race, they showcased their commitment to rallying around their leader, looking to capitalize on the collective strength of their roster while also leveraging Reusser’s experience and recent form.
