Stredair Appuah: Franco-Ghanaian winger loaned to Lommel SK

Newsroom

Lommel SK added Franco-Ghanaian winger Stredair Appuah to their squad, bringing in the 22-year-old from Italian side Palermo on a loan deal. The right-sided attacker, who prefers to operate cutting in from the flank on his left foot, joined the Belgian club for the 2026-27 campaign.
Appuah moved to Lommel after spending last season with Palermo, where he returned this summer following a loan spell with French side Valenciennes. His transfer to Belgium is temporary, with the winger scheduled to return to the Serie B club at the end of the season.
Born in Sarcelles, Appuah came through youth systems in France and England before earning his senior breakthrough. He originally signed for Palermo from Nantes in August 2024, in a deal worth €1.5 million, following his progression from Nantes’ under-19 side into the first team.
The 1.85m wide player has already played top-flight football, featuring in Ligue 1 and Serie B and has also appeared in the UEFA Youth League earlier in his career. During his time in France’s lower divisions and youth competitions, he built up regular game time and experience on both wings.
Appuah’s current contract with Lommel runs until June 2027, which aligns with the duration of his stay in Belgium before his planned return to Palermo at the conclusion of the loan.
