During Stage 19, Colombian cyclist Einer Rubio sustained injuries after crashing into a vehicle from UAE Team Emirates due to a spectator suddenly entering the road. Despite this unfortunate incident, the chaotic scene unfolded within the context of heightened security. The French police had been preparing for the influx of fans by closing roads and deploying hundreds of officers along the route days in advance of the climb.

The atmosphere along the lower slopes was unexpectedly calm, contrasting sharply with the frenzied energy at Dutch corner, where police were managing massive crowds. Observers noted that while the overall number of fans may have been similar to previous Tours, the distribution was uneven, leading to larger clusters of spectators in some sections while others remained relatively quiet.
