Skylar Schneider and Lucas Bourgoyne Shine at Fulton Market Grand Prix

Skylar Schneider (L39ION of Los Angeles) won her third event in the American Criterium Cup series on July 29, 2026, at the Fulton Market Grand Prix in Chicago, consolidating her lead in the elite women's standings of the six-race series. Meanwhile, her teammate Justin Williams finished just off the podium and maintained a narrow two-point edge in the elite men's division over race winner Lucas Bourgoyne (Team Cadence Cyclery pb Waldo Racing).

Lucas Bourgoyne, who achieved his first win since May 30, spoke about the challenges he faced, stating, "Lately I’ve been really struggling, managing the team, doing the logistics...and I have an incredible team behind me that’s doing double and triple time to make this thing happen. It is these days right here that make all of it worth it."

Skylar Schneider's victory marked her sixth career win at the Fulton Market Grand Prix, which served as the finale of the Chicago GRIT series. The 27-year-old rider had an impressive performance in the days leading up to the race, securing seven wins out of nine races at the Chicago GRIT.

During the elite women’s event, Schneider was a notable contender, seen prominently in her red leader’s jersey throughout the race. Early on, a breakaway of six riders formed, navigating through hot and humid conditions as top teams sought points from intermediate sprints. Holly Breck (L39ION of Los Angeles) emerged as the most active rider in this group, collecting six points from the series sprints, with Marjie Bemis (HigherDOSE l Renova) following closely.

As the final lap approached, Kendall Ryan, the USPro criterium champion, received support from Chloe Patrick and Laurel Rathbun to set up for the finish. In the final stretch, Paola Muñoz of Fearless Femme pb The Beasley Firms sprinted alongside Schneider. Under 200 meters to go, a close call occurred, but Schneider surged through to claim victory, leaving Ryan in second and Muñoz in third. Aline Seitz (HigherDOSE | Renova) finished fourth, keeping her second place in the ACC overall standings.

In the elite men's race, the field experienced one early breakaway attempt before reining it in for a series of quick bursts at intermediate sprints. Michael Garrison (Speedstudio p/b Basso) initially seemed unreachable until a dozen riders, including Cory Williams from L39ION, worked together to reel him back in with just minutes to go. Ultimately, the day was marked by Schneider and Bourgoyne's remarkable achievements under the Chicago sun.
