Rally Rabbit inspires Rockies in thrilling win at Coors

The Colorado Rockies experienced an exciting night at Coors Field, emerging victorious with an 8-6 walk-off win against the San Francisco Giants. A notable moment of the game came when a unexpected visitor, dubbed the "Rally Rabbit," made an appearance on the field.

As the Rockies trailed the Giants 4-1 in the bottom of the eighth inning, camera operators captured the rabbit wandering onto the warning track. The incident occurred just after Rockies outfielder Troy Johnston reached base with a leadoff single. Narrated by broadcasters Dave Flemming and Hunter Pence, the rabbit managed to escape through a gap in the outfield wall.

Following the rabbit's appearance, Ezequiel Tovar, who entered the game with a .305 slugging percentage, hit a two-run home run, reducing the Giants' lead to one run. Tovar's home run was especially unexpected, considering the Giants’ pitcher Keaton Winn had entered the game with a 1.85 ERA and had not allowed a single home run in 24 appearances.

The Giants, however, quickly responded, scoring two runs in the top of the ninth inning and extending their lead to 6-3. In what seemed a challenging situation, the Giants brought in Caleb Kilian, who holds a notable 2.22 ERA and a WHIP of 0.99, with opponents hitting only .146 against him.

Yet, in the thrilling post-Rally Rabbit climate, the Rockies turned the game around dramatically. They managed to score five runs, finished off by Tovar hitting his second two-run home run in two innings, this time securing the walk-off victory.
