Leclerc crashes out in Barcelona qualifying accident

Charles Leclerc suffered a crash during the qualifying session of the Barcelona Grand Prix, extending his negative streak. The Monegasque driver, who faced pressure from competitors Lewis Hamilton and others, lost control of his SF-26 car at Turn 4 during his first attempt in Q3. Despite his efforts to regain control with a counter-steering maneuver, he collided with the wall, ruling out any chance for a strong qualifying result.

This incident marked Leclerc's second consecutive qualifying accident, having also crashed during a race in Monaco after recently renewing his contract with Ferrari. The driver has struggled to find a competitive car capable of contending for the Formula One World Championship.

Hamilton, meanwhile, clinched second place on the grid with a brilliant final lap, outpacing Antonelli. Leclerc ended up in tenth position, an undesirable outcome given his ambitions for a better qualifying performance in Barcelona.
