Rice returns to England training as James misses out

Declan Rice returned to England training on Friday, but Reece James missed the session, leaving uncertainty regarding his availability for the Three Lions' final group game against Panama.
Chelsea defender James is dealing with a hamstring issue that he sustained during England's 0-0 draw with Ghana on Tuesday. He was absent from the group training session prior to the squad's flight to New York, opting to follow an individual program inside the training base in Kansas City, rather than joining his teammates on the pitch.
James is a crucial player for England, and head coach Thomas Tuchel is hoping the injury will not sideline him for the duration of the tournament. Meanwhile, Declan Rice had left the Boston Stadium after the Ghana match with strapping on his left calf and also missed training on Thursday. However, it was determined that his knock required just rest, and he is anticipated to be available for the Panama game on Saturday at 22:00 BST.
Despite Rice's expected return, it remains uncertain if Tuchel will choose to start him, as he risks suspension in the round of 32 due to having been booked against Ghana. Rice's midfield partner Elliot Anderson was also absent from Thursday’s session but has recovered adequately to train with the rest of the squad.
A win over Panama will secure England the top spot in Group L, enabling them to strategize for the knockout stages.
