WXV Global Series: Fixtures and Qualification Details

The WXV Global Series returned in 2026 with 36 Tests taking place in the autumn. Following a hiatus in 2025 due to the Rugby World Cup, the competition underwent an update. Previously featuring three tiers, the series evolved to include just two tiers. The top 12 ranked teams worldwide competed in the Global Series, while the next six ranked teams participated in the Global Series Challenger.

The top 12 ranked teams are: Australia, Canada, England, France, Italy, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa, USA, and Wales. The next six are: Fiji, Hong Kong China, Netherlands, Samoa, Spain, and Brazil.

Matches for the top 12 teams were scheduled as home and away encounters, while the Challenger series was contested at a single venue, hosted in 2026 in Hong Kong.
