Fury Claims Joshua Fight Will Be Canceled Over Money Dispute

Tyson Fury stated that his highly anticipated heavyweight fight with Anthony Joshua now "doesn't look like it's going to happen" due to a money dispute with Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn. Reports indicate that Joshua and Fury had signed contracts to fight on November 20 in New York City. However, Hearn insisted that further work was required on the deal, leading to tension over the terms of the agreement.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Fury, 38, accused Hearn of being "money-thirsty" and of seeking additional funds from Saudi boxing mogul Turki Alalshikh, alleging that the promoter may be using the prospect of the Fury-Joshua fight to fund other ventures in snooker and darts. Fury stated, "Doesn't look like they're going to sign the fight, doesn't look like it's going to happen. All because Eddie Hearn and that want more money. They've already had that much money off of Turki in the last few years."

He went further in his rants against both Hearn and Joshua, labeling them as "disgusting, money-thirsty pieces of shit" and calling out Hearn for negotiating while claiming he needs to stage the fight in Britain. Reports emerged that an agreement to fight at Madison Square Garden conflicted with earlier assertions about wanting the fight in England.

Fury criticized Hearn’s claims, stating, "You're just a bag carrier like you've always been. End of." Fury also expressed frustration towards Joshua, who faced criticism for risky behaviors, such as performing stunts on a golf buggy shortly after a tragic incident that led to the deaths of two friends in a car crash.

"I've never seen such cowardly-a men in my life," Fury remarked, asserting that Joshua had not learned from past mistakes. He added, "Tell you what it is, I've never seen such cowardly-a men in my life… Fight's off. Don't even give a f about the fight. You pieces of s. Cowards."

In a follow-up video, Fury escalated his verbal assault on Joshua, calling him a "50 pence drug-dealing idiot" and asserting that Joshua's physical training did not intimidate him: "I'd drink 20 pints and still beat the f out of you... cause I'm the fing Gypsy King, and I'll tear you to pieces, you piece of s***."

As the situation unfolded, the prospect of the long-anticipated bout between the two heavyweight champions looked increasingly unlikely.
