Ryder Cup 2027 Tickets Exceed £400 Daily

The upcoming Ryder Cup in 2027 is set to be a costly affair for golf fans, with ticket prices exceeding £400 per day. This increase comes as Ryder Cup Europe has announced ticketing details for the prestigious event, which will take place at Adare Manor in Ireland.

Fans eager to attend the tournament will see prices more than double from the previous Ryder Cup held in Rome in 2023. General admission for one of the three competition days has been set at €499 (approximately £433), a stark contrast to the €220 (£191) ticket price for the Friday and Saturday rounds at Marco Simone Golf Club three years ago. This represents a staggering 400% increase compared to the 2018 event in Paris, where tickets were significantly cheaper.

Despite the steep rise in prices, tickets for the 2027 Ryder Cup are still more affordable than those at Bethpage Black last year, where the $750 (£544) ticket included food and drink. Richard Atkinson, the chief Ryder Cup officer for the European Tour Group, acknowledged the price hike, stating, "We acknowledge it's an increase from Rome. That was four years ago and a lot has happened in the world since then. We are lower than Bethpage. We've tried to make this as accessible as possible to a wide demographic of people."

To cater to a broader audience, practice day tickets will be available starting at €89, with junior tickets priced at just €20. Atkinson emphasized that the pricing is proportionate to the global significance of the Ryder Cup, which has grown in stature and profile over the years.

The first batch of tickets for the 2027 Ryder Cup will go on sale this Friday, exclusively for residents of the island of Ireland. Luke Donald will return as the captain for Team Europe, aiming for a third consecutive victory. Meanwhile, the United States has yet to announce their captain, with Tiger Woods opting out of consideration to focus on his health and recovery.

This will be only the second time the Ryder Cup is hosted in Ireland, with the first being in 2006 at the K Club, where Ian Woosnam led Europe to victory. As anticipation builds for this iconic event, fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early to avoid missing out on what promises to be a thrilling competition.
