Kim Le Court Wins Stage 6 of Women's Tour de France

Kim Le Court, a rider from Mauritius, celebrated her second victory in the Tour de France Femmes on Thursday, June 8, 2026, in Tournon-sur-Rhône, exactly one year after her win in Guéret.

Le Court triumphed in a sprint finish for the sixth stage of the race, overcoming an early fall and mechanical issues. Despite facing challenges, she managed to finish ahead of Cedrine Kerbaol from France and Puck Pieterse from the Netherlands after a demanding 153km route from Montbrison to Tournon-sur-Rhône in southeastern France.

At the same time, Swiss competitor Marlen Reusser retained the leader's yellow jersey, maintaining her overall control as the race approached the queen stage ending on the summit of Mont Ventoux in the French Alps on Friday.

With this victory, Le Court has now secured her second stage win in the prestigious Grande Boucle, following her previous success in Guéret last year. After an early crash in the race, she faced mechanical problems that required her to change bikes a mere 15 km from the finish line. Teaming up with Dutch rider Riejanne Markus, she successfully caught up with six other riders from the breakaway group just before the final climb, about 10 km from Tournon-sur-Rhône. She then showcased her strength in the sprint to claim the victory.

"It was a truly crazy stage. The team did such a great job positioning me at the front of the race that I couldn't give up the fight," Le Court remarked after her win.

The main contenders in the overall race finished in a chasing group, trailing 28 seconds behind the breakaway leaders. Reusser held a 12-second lead in the general classification over Dutch rider Demi Vollering and maintained a 1min 17sec advantage over Poland's Kasia Niewiadoma.

The next stage, taking place on June 9, will conclude at the summit of the legendary Mont Ventoux via the Bedoin climb, which is 15.7 km long and features an 8.8 percent gradient.
