Arsenal strengthen title grip with another win

League leaders Arsenal continue to impress. With a 2-1 win at home against Chelsea, Arsenal recorded yet another victory. This means the team has extended their lead in the Premier League and the gap to second placed Manchester City is now five points. However, Manchester City have one game in hand. Chelsea are in sixth place in the league.

Arsenal started the match best and took the lead when William Saliba netted after 21 minutes, with an assist by Gabriel Magalhães, making it 1-0.

1-1 came through an own-goal in the 45th minute.

In the 66th minute, Jurriën Timber gave Arsenal the lead, with an assist by Declan Rice.

Chelsea's Pedro Neto was sent off in the 70th minute.

It was Arsenal's sixth game in a row without defeat.

"Big win. I am very happy. We performed in an excellent way for big periods. "The margin should have been bigger at half-time. The moment we conceded was painful, but it is the quality of Chelsea," Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta told Sky Sports.

Arsenal's next Premier League games are against Brighton & Hove Albion (away) on 4 March, Arsenal (home) on 14 March and AFC Bournemouth (home) on 11 April. Chelsea play Aston Villa (away) on 4 March, Newcastle United (home) on 14 March and Everton (away) on 21 March.
