Benjamin Tetteh Concludes Slovenia League Season as Top Scorer

Benjamin Tetteh scored to conclude the Slovenian PrvaLiga season as the top scorer while playing for NK Maribor, who defeated Aluminij 3-0 on the final day of the 2025/26 campaign. The 28-year-old striker had an impactful game, recording an assist and finding the net himself, capping his strong season with a total of 12 goals.

Tetteh came on as a substitute with 30 minutes remaining and quickly made a significant impact. He assisted Tai Primic’s goal for Maribor's second, and then scored his own goal with just two minutes left to play, solidifying his performance. The match began with Ali Reghba scoring for Maribor in the seventh minute.

Despite the decisive victory over Aluminij, NK Maribor finished the season in fifth place, marking an underwhelming outcome overall. Tetteh, who also racked up eight assists throughout the campaign, will share the league's golden boot with Celje's Nikita Iosifov.

Now that the league season has ended, Tetteh awaits news on whether he will be included in Ghana's squad by coach Carlos Queiroz for the upcoming World Cup in North America.
