Chiefs Reveal Starting XI Against Red Arrows

Fernando da Cruz announced the starting line-up of Kaizer Chiefs for the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round first leg against Zambian side Red Arrows. Red Arrows qualified for the CAFCC by winning the ABSA Cup, defeating the Zambian league champions Power Dynamos in May 2026. They concluded last season by finishing second in the league with 63 points within an 18-team league.

Chiefs secured their spot in back-to-back CAFCCs by finishing third in the previous campaign in the Betway Premiership. The team faces rising pressure after managing to secure only one victory in their last six matches, while drawing the other five domestically.

In their recent history, Chiefs are familiar with playing in Zambia at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, where they have encountered ZESCO United twice in the last seven years, experiencing one loss and one win.

For Red Arrows, this match marks their first encounter against a South African side.
Here is how Chiefs line up:
Chiefs XI: Leaner, Monyane, Miguel, Moloisane, Cross, Mako, Frosler, Mthethwa, Shabalala, Vilakazi, Baartman
Subs: Bvuma, Dortley, Nkgwesa, Mabaso, Velebayi, Abrahams, Ighodaro, Da Silva, Duba

Red Arrows XI: tbc.
