NFF Celebrates Sunday Dare's 60th Birthday and Book Launch

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) congratulated Chief Sunday Akin Dare (CON), Special Adviser to Mr. President on Media and Public Communication, on the occasion of his 60th birthday and the presentation of his book, "One Thousand and Ninety-Five Days."
On May 30, 2026, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON), President of NFF, expressed joy for Dare's significant milestone, stating that reaching the age of 60 in good health is a moment worthy of celebration.
"The Nigeria Football Federation hereby warmly congratulates you on your Diamond Jubilee Anniversary, which you are marking not only with joy and in good health and sound mind, but with the public presentation of a book titled One Thousand and Ninety-Five Days," Gusau said.
Gusau continued by wishing Dare many more years of dedicated service to the country, emphasizing that celebrating such milestones contributes positively to the community. Chief Sunday Akin Dare, also known as the Agbaakin of Ogbomoso and Sarkin Wasanni Hausaland, planned to present his book on Saturday at the Congress Hall of the Los Angeles Event Centre in Abuja. His Excellency Kashim Shettima GCON, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, was set to be the Special Guest of Honour.
The event would also feature Chief Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, as the chairperson, while Dr. Dele Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals, would present the book. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief George Akume, along with Governors from Kaduna, Ogun, Gombe, and Yobe States, were confirmed as Guests of Honour.
In related news, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON) attended the burial ceremony of Samuel Chukwueze’s mother on the same day, held in Isieke Primary/Secondary School, Umuahia North Local Government Area, Abia State. He was seen comforting the Super Eagles forward during the solemn occasion.
