Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies cruised into the 2026 COSAFA CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers semifinals with a dominant 3-0 victory against Silver Strikers at Gaborone United Stadium on Sunday night.

Nonhanhla Mthandi attempted a long-range shot, but it was blocked by Irene Sidande, the goalkeeper for Silver Strikers, just six minutes into the match.

Banyana Ba Style then took the lead through Karabo Dhlamini four minutes later, making it 1-0. Dhlamini scored her second goal in the 18th minute with a powerful free-kick from 30 yards away, extending Sundowns’ lead to 2-0 at halftime.

Sundowns struck again in the 50th minute, with a thunderous header from Isabella Ludwig finding the back of the net for her second goal of the competition. Nthabiseng Majiya missed a chance to secure a fourth goal in the 58th minute when her close-range effort was saved by the Strikers’ goalkeeper.

Andile Dlamini was called into action for Sundowns in the 61st minute, making an impressive full-stretched one-handed save to deny the Malawian side. In the 65th minute, Nonhlanhla Mthandi was also denied a goal by the rushing goalkeeper, who made a crucial last-minute save.

Sibande was active once again, thwarting a fierce shot from Boitumelo Rabale outside the box in the 75th minute. Head coach Godfrey Sapula’s team has now scored a total of 11 goals in two matches without conceding. They are set to face Costa Do Sol in their final Group B match, with Costa losing 3-1 to Nsingizini Hotspurs earlier in the day.
