Newsroom
The 2026 MLB All-Star Ballot saw its first update on Monday afternoon, intensifying the competition to participate in the All-Star Game presented by Mastercard at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on July 14. Fans can cast their votes now. In this initial phase, the leading vote-getter from each league secures an automatic spot in their team's starting lineup for the event. Currently, the leaders are Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers in the National League and Yordan Alvarez of the Astros in the American League.
The top two vote-getters at every position, along with the top six outfielders, will advance to Phase 2 of the voting. Phase 1 voting concludes at midnight on Thursday, June 25, and Phase 2 is scheduled to start on Monday, June 29.
As Phase 1 continues, there are several competitive races, particularly among outfielders. Notably, in the National League outfield, Jordan Walker from the Cardinals leads with 437,071 votes, followed closely by James Wood from the Nationals with 431,607 votes, Corbin Carroll from the Diamondbacks at 425,814 votes, and Juan Soto from the Mets trailing at 421,513 votes. The competition is fierce, given that only the top six vote-getters will move on, with Walker occupying the sixth spot currently.
In the American League's second base category, Ezequiel Duran from the Rangers holds a narrow lead with 287,996 votes, while Travis Bazzana from the Guardians has 279,862 votes. Blue Jays' Ernie Clement is confirmed to advance to Phase 2 with a significant margin over his competitors.
The AL outfield is also tight, featuring Riley Greene from the Tigers leading slightly with 422,835 votes, followed by Seattle's Julio Rodríguez at 421,205 votes and Randy Arozarena also from Seattle at 412,273 votes.
The National League third base race is seeing Alec Bohm of the Phillies with 386,425 votes competing against Nolan Arenado from the Diamondbacks (363,091 votes) and Austin Riley from the Braves (353,394 votes). Bohm is showing improvement after a slow start to the season.
In the National League second base category, Bryson Stott from the Phillies is ahead with 399,729 votes, while Brice Turang from the Brewers has 373,656 votes, marking a notable gap that Turang must overcome.
Finally, in the AL catchers category, Alejandro Kirk from the Blue Jays leads with 298,401 votes, while Adley Rutschman from the Orioles and Dillon Dingler from the Tigers closely follow with 261,607 votes and 261,084 votes, respectively. Shea Langeliers of the Athletics has established a strong lead among catchers for his first All-Star selection.
