Maikaba, Uwejamomere Select Assistants for U20 Camp

Abdu Maikaba, the newly-appointed Head Coach of the U20 men’s national team, picked Ortega Deniran as his first assistant, Abdullahi Biffo as the second assistant, and Usman Mohammed as the goalkeepers’ trainer. This announcement, made on Thursday, coincided with the resumption of camp for the U20 boys, scheduled for Sunday, 17th May, in Abuja. Maikaba aims to build a new Flying Eagles squad that will bring pride to Nigeria as they prepare for the upcoming WAFU B U20 Boys Championship in July, which will serve as qualification for next year’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations. The Flying Eagles have won this continental tournament seven times.

In a similar vein, Eboboritse Uwejamomere, the newly-appointed Head Coach of the U17 boys, selected Olumide Joseph Ajibolade as his first assistant, Mohammed Kalli Kachala as the second assistant, and Abdullahi Isa as the goalkeepers’ trainer. Uwejamomere's goal is to build a new Golden Eaglets squad that not only aims for a return to the FIFA U17 World Cup finals but also strives for a sixth global title. The WAFU B U17 Boys Championship is set for September and will act as the qualification tournament for next year’s Africa U17 Cup of Nations.
