VAR intervention boosts Arsenal, Hammers falter

Arteta remarked, "It was a call from the ref that is very brave, but very consistent with what they’ve been talking about all season. Today I have to praise them, at least for giving the option to a referee to decide... to give clarity to him to make the right call."

The VAR review was described by former Manchester United defender Gary Neville as potentially the "biggest moment in VAR history in the Premier League." He emphasized its significance, asserting, "It is probably the biggest moment in VAR history in the Premier League. This is massive for refereeing in this country."

Meanwhile, West Ham manager David Moyes expressed concern over his team's dwindling prospects for European qualification after their 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace, lamenting that they were unable to hold onto their lead.

In lower leagues, Rochdale secured a dramatic comeback victory to gain promotion back to the EFL, defeating Boreham Wood in a penalty shootout after recovering from a 2-0 deficit. The win was marked by intense fighting spirit as they found the equalizer deep into stoppage time after pulling a goal back late in the match.

For today, Tottenham has a chance to move closer to Premier League safety when they host Leeds United, while Millwall competes against Hull in their Championship play-off semi-final second leg.
