Davinson Sanchez tops Como's wish list at €20m

Reports indicated that Como planned to enhance their initial €20m offer for Galatasaray and Colombia international defender Davinson Sanchez. Previously, there had been indications from Italy suggesting that Como had shifted focus towards the veteran center-back, who turns 31 this weekend, after considering Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Como made an opening proposal to Galatasaray amounting to approximately €20m, inclusive of performance-related add-ons. However, this figure might fall short as the Turkish club sought to secure a fee closer to €25-30m, particularly following Sanchez’s notable performances during the 2026 World Cup with Colombia.

Another challenge for Como revolves around Sanchez’s salary, exceeding €3m net per season, which poses potential financial difficulties for the club. The Turkish Super Lig possesses a capacity to offer lucrative wage packages, benefitting from a more favorable taxation system compared to Serie A.

Galatasaray acquired Sanchez from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 for €9.5m, having previously signed him from Ajax to Spurs for €42m six years prior.
