Valladolid Secures the Superfinal It Deserved

Valladolid secured its significant final as the top two male pairs of Premier Padel successfully advanced from the semifinals, setting up a rematch in the twelfth tournament of the season. The Golden Boys faced off against Chingalán yet again, a familiar pairing that has navigated through the season’s challenges as Coello and Chingotto dealt with physical issues, minimizing any unexpected twists.

On June 27, 2026, the Golden Boys, consisting of Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, dominated throughout their match against the skilled duo of Lebrón and Augsburger in front of a packed Valladolid P2. Coello and Tapia's victory came in straight sets of 6-4, showcasing their consistency and prowess on the court. With this win, they marked their 25th consecutive final appearance, exemplifying their standing in the circuit.

In contrast, Galán and Chingotto also secured their spot in the final but faced a tougher battle. Chingotto struggled with physical ailments, including an ‘indigestion’ that had him feeling less than at his best. Nevertheless, his partner Galán stepped up magnificently, helping to maintain their pursuit of the world padel title. After taking the first set against Javi Leal and Fran Guerrero, fatigue set in, allowing the challengers to break back in the second set. However, Galán’s remarkable ability shone through, as he played aggressively to regain lost momentum. Ultimately, they clinched victory with a scoreline of 6-4, 1-6, and 6-3, confirming their place in the final and overcoming significant hurdles along the way.

This upcoming final promises to be yet another thrilling encounter, as the Golden Boys and Chingalán prepare for a rematch that fans have come to expect from this elite league.
