Black Princesses to learn FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup opponents

Ghana’s national U-20 women’s team, the Black Princesses, learned that they would discover their group-stage opponents for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup on Friday, May 15. The draw ceremony took place at the EC1 Cultural Centre in Łódź, one of the four host cities for the tournament, alongside Bielsko-Biała, Katowice, and Sosnowiec. The Black Princesses were among 24 nations participating in the draw for this prestigious biennial competition.
The 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup was set to be staged in Poland from September 5 to September 27, 2026. Ghana secured qualification for the tournament for the eighth time after edging Uganda 3-2 on aggregate in the final qualifying round.
