Hadjar Out of Spanish GP Due to Wrist Injury

Red Bull will be without Isack Hadjar for a third consecutive race, as the Frenchman missed the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix due to a wrist injury sustained during the summer. Hadjar, 21, previously missed last month's Dutch Grand Prix, along with the Italian Grand Prix at the weekend, and will once again be replaced by New Zealander Liam Lawson in Madrid. Lawson, typically racing for Red Bull's second team, Racing Bulls, will compete alongside Max Verstappen. Lawson's position at Racing Bulls will again be filled by reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda. On Monday, Red Bull reported that Hadjar—that broke his wrist while boxing—was continuing to "progress positively" in his recovery, but he is "not yet ready" to return to competition. Red Bull currently stands fourth in the constructors' championship standings, trailing behind Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren.
