Netcompany Ineos signs US rider Riley Sheehan for 2027

Netcompany Ineos signed US rider Riley Sheehan as their seventh new arrival for the 2027 season. The announcement occurred on 15 October 2026, revealing that Sheehan, 26, joins from NSN on a two-year deal. With three professional victories, including Paris-Tours in 2023, a stage of the Czech Tour, and the Circuit de Wallonie from the previous season, Sheehan is set to enhance the team's versatility in the Classics.

In the team's statement, Sheehan expressed, "Joining Netcompany Ineos is a dream come true. It’s a team I’ve looked up to since I was young, and to now be part of such a successful and respected organisation is incredibly special. I believe I still have so much more to achieve in my career, and having the backing of this team is the perfect next step for me. I'm excited to get started, set ambitious goals and give everything I have to help the team win, while continuing to push myself to become the best rider I can be."

Sheehan joins Clément Champoussin, Harold Tejada, James Shaw, Joe Blackmore, Markel Beloki, and Benjamín Noval as new arrivals this offseason, as Netcompany Ineos aims to rebuild its roster to remain competitive throughout the year. Team Director of Racing Geraint Thomas remarked, "Riley is an exciting rider. He’s fast, technically very skilled and has the ability to perform across a range of terrain. We see him being a great addition to our Classics group, but he’s also a rider who can contribute right across the calendar. He brings plenty of versatility to the team, and we’re looking forward to helping him continue to develop."

At the World Championships, Sheehan was part of the USA’s winning team with Brandon McNulty, filling in for Neilson Powless after expressing his discontent about not being selected earlier. With Sheehan's addition, Netcompany Ineos' roster now stands at 20 confirmed riders for the forthcoming season, which includes notable departures such as Filippo Ganna and fellow Americans Artem Shmidt, Magnus Sheffield, and AJ August. The team, led by Dave Brailsford, is projected to finalize their maximum roster of 30 with a combination of extensions and more signings.
