Christian Watson, wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, returned to the field after a brief hospital trip due to a chest injury sustained during a game. Watson did not know which hospital he was taken to but estimated he was away from the field for about an hour. Local time showed Watson was in an ambulance shortly before 8:30 p.m. He climbed in with his full set of pads still on. By 9:19, Watson had exited the ambulance and rejoined his team on the sidelines.

During his hospital visit, Watson was treated for coughing up blood and underwent an X-ray that revealed a broken rib, as well as a CT scan and blood tests. Once the tests confirmed there were no additional issues, Watson was eager to return to play. He stated, "Before I even left [the hospital], I wanted to go back out there. So I was going to make sure I was going to get back out there if they let me."

Watson not only returned to the game but caught two more passes, finishing with eight receptions for 113 yards. In their match, the Packers secured a 27-19 victory over the Carolina Panthers.

Packers safety Xavier McKinney praised Watson’s resilience, saying, "It shows the love that he has for this team." Watson had already reached the 100-yard mark prior to his injury, showcasing his determination to contribute to his team’s success even in pain.

Watson's injury occurred following a 53-yard catch with 9:11 left in the second quarter. It was his sixth reception at that point. After a hard hit, Watson slowly made his way off the field but was able to jog to the locker room unaided. He reflected, "I think I just came down on the ball or my elbow or something. I couldn't breathe on the field. I got the wind knocked out of me. I was kind of spitting up some blood."

Fans witnessed a dramatic moment as Watson emerged from the ambulance ready to play, receiving cheers from the crowd. He humorously compared the scene to moments from WWE, describing it as a "surreal experience."

Upon returning, he caught several more passes including a 6-yard reception and a 7-yarder shortly thereafter, marking his third 100-yard game of the season. Watson continues to highlight his ability for large plays, having tallied multiple receptions over 50 yards this season, the most in the NFL, reaffirming his position as a standout wide receiver for the Packers.
