Prince Udofia and Niyi Busari Appointed to Olympic Eagles

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) appointed Prince Sunday Udofia as Team Coordinator of the U23 men national football team, known as the Olympic Eagles. Udofia previously held a similar position with the U17 boys’ national team, the Golden Eaglets, during their successful campaign to defend the FIFA U17 World Cup title in Chile in 2015.

In addition to Udofia's appointment, ace journalist Niyi Busari, who is the owner of the online publication BSN Sports, was named the media officer for the U23 men national team. Both Udofia and Busari are set to join the squad as they resume camp in Ijebu-Ode on Sunday, 25th October, in preparation for a two-leg U23 AFCON qualifying fixture against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo).

The first leg of the match is scheduled to take place at the TP Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi on Friday, 13th November. The return leg will occur four days later at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo. This series of matches is crucial for Nigeria as they seek to advance in the U23 AFCON qualifiers.
