AFC Bournemouth and Newcastle United Lock Horns in a Scoreless Battle at Vitality Stadium

Newcastle United now enjoy a three-game run without conceding a goal.

Vitality Stadium witnessed a riveting encounter that ultimately played out as a goalless affair. Both AFC Bournemouth and Newcastle United grinded through without finding the net, and the curtain drew to a close with a 0-0 draw.

It leaves AFC Bournemouth in fourth place and that Newcastle United are in 13th place.

"We showed the strength of our squad today because I did think it was a good performance without being a match-winning one," Newcastle boss Eddie Howe told Sky Sports.

"We used a lot of different players, so that's a really positive sign. I think there were some really good things within our performance," he added.

AFC Bournemouth play Leeds United on 27 September, Fulham on 3 October and Crystal Palace (away) on 18 October. Newcastle United's next opponents are Arsenal on 28 September, Nottingham Forest on 5 October and Brighton & Hove Albion (away) on 18 October.
