Arsenal win at home against Brighton & Hove Albion
An even game saw Arsenal just edge out Brighton & Hove Albion at home in the Premier League on Saturday. The game finished 2-1 to Arsenal.
2-0 came through an own-goal in the 52nd minute.
Arsenal started the match well and took the lead when Martin Ødegaard netted after 14 minutes, with an assist by Bukayo Saka, making it 1-0.
In the 64th minute, Diego Gómez reduced the score for Brighton & Hove Albion.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said: "Very happy with the performance. Individually and collectively, so dominant. We were a big threat. So, very pleased with all of that.
It was Brighton & Hove Albion's fifth game in a row without a win.
Brighton & Hove Albion are now in 12th place, while Arsenal are at the top of the table.
"But the margin should have been much bigger. With the amount of situations, chances that we generated throughout the game, it should never be 2-1," he added.
Arsenal's next Premier League games are against Aston Villa (home) on 30 December, AFC Bournemouth (away) on 3 January and Liverpool (home) on 8 January. Brighton & Hove Albion play West Ham United (away) on 30 December, Burnley (home) on 3 January and Manchester City (away) on 7 January.
