Hat-trick by Kevin Schade as Brentford beat AFC Bournemouth
Kevin Schade claimed a hat-trick at home against AFC Bournemouth, as Brentford won 4-1 in the Premier League. While Semenyo scored for AFC Bournemouth.
Brentford took an early lead when Kevin Schade netted in the 7th minute, with an assist by Igor Thiago, making it 1-0.
2-0 came through an own-goal in the 39th minute.
The 4-1 goal came in extra time, when Kevin Schade found the net for Brentford and with this completed his hattrick.
It was AFC Bournemouth's ninth game in a row without a win.
Straight after the break, Kevin Schade scored and increased the team's lead.
"Good win, good performance. Two different halves. First half, I thought we were sensational. I thought we played some really good stuff, controlled the game with and without the ball," Brentford head coach Keith Andrews said.
Antoine Semenyo reduced the score for AFC Bournemouth in the 75th minute.
"We could have created a little bit more from the territory we had and the opportunities we had but, overall, a very, very pleasing afternoon," he added.
Brentford play Tottenham Hotspur on 1 January, Everton on 4 January and Sunderland (home) on 7 January. AFC Bournemouth's next opponents are Chelsea on 30 December, Arsenal on 3 January and Tottenham Hotspur (home) on 7 January.
Brentford are now in eighth place, while AFC Bournemouth are in 15th place.
