Aston Villa Seals Victory Over Brighton & Hove Albion Thanks to Watkins' Double

Brighton & Hove Albion started the match best and took the lead when Jan Paul van Hecke netted after 9 minutes, with an assist by Mats Wieffer, making it 1-0.

Aston Villa equalised 2-2 just before the half-time whistle as Ollie Watkins scored one more time. This occasion he found the net, with an assist by Morgan Rogers.

2-0 came through an own-goal in the 29th minute.

With 60 minutes on the clock, Aston Villa's Amadou Onana found the net following a Matty Cash assist to give Aston Villa the lead.

Donyell Malen increased Aston Villa's lead in the 78th minute.

Seven minutes left to play, Brighton & Hove Albion's Jan Paul van Hecke reduced, with an assist by Jack Hinshelwood.
