Six-Game Winless Streak Broken as Brighton & Hove Albion Defeats Burnley 2-0
Straight after the break, Yasin Ayari scored and increased the team's lead.
With a spirited performance, Brighton & Hove Albion has emerged victorious in the Premier League, defeating Burnley 2-0 to end their six-game drought and get back on track.
Brighton & Hove Albion took the lead in the 29th minute thanks to a goal by Georginio Rutter, with an assist by Charalampos Kostoulas, ending the goalless stretch.
The result means the 11th game in a row without a win for Burnley.
Brighton & Hove Albion are now in eighth place, while Burnley are in 19th place.
"The luck doesn't come to you, you have to do the small bits right. How we scored was a little bit lucky but [Rutter] deserved it because he kept pushing, he was always there," he added.
The next Premier League games for Brighton & Hove Albion are Manchester City (away) on 7 January, Brighton & Hove Albion (home) on 19 January and Fulham (away) on 24 January. "It wasn't a great game but a good performance. Overall, we're pleased with the performance," Brighton Manager Fabian Hurzeler said.
