"We started the game exceptionally well. I think the first half is one of the best that we've played, scored two goals, generated another two or three big chances and conceded nothing," Mikel Arteta said.
"And that was a platform, because in the second half we dropped the standards, especially with the ball, and with our intentions to play more forward. But again, defensively, we were exceptional," the Arsenal manager added.
Burnley's next Premier League games are against West Ham United (away) on 8 November, Burnley (home) on 22 November and Brentford (away) on 29 November. Arsenal play Sunderland (away) on 8 November, Tottenham Hotspur (home) on 23 November and Chelsea (away) on 30 November.
Arsenal increased their lead to 2-0, as Declan Rice found the net, with an assist by Leandro Trossard, in the 35th minute. The teams were unable to score in the second half and the game ended with a 2-0 win for Arsenal.
Arsenal have now won five games in a row.
Arsenal started the match well and took the lead early when Viktor Gyökeres netted after 14 minutes, with an assist by Gabriel Magalhães, making it 1-0.
League leaders Arsenal continue to impress. With a 2-0 win away against Burnley, Arsenal recorded yet another victory. This means the team has extended their lead in the Premier League and the gap to second placed AFC Bournemouth is now seven points. Burnley are in 17th place in the league.
Arsenal now enjoy a four-game run without conceding a goal.
