Everton Secures Victory, Keeping Chelsea Scoreless
Everton showcased their attacking prowess as they netted three goals in the Premier League encounter against Chelsea at Hill Dickinson Stadium. The home side cruised to a convincing 3-0 victory, leaving Chelsea unable to find the back of the net.
The showdown remained goalless until the 33rd minute when Beto put Everton ahead, with an assist by James Garner.
With 62 minutes on the clock, Everton's Beto found the net following a Idrissa Gueye assist to double their lead.
Everton netted once more, this time through Iliman Ndiaye, with an assist by Beto, in the 76th minute.
Everton remains in eighth place and Chelsea is in sixth.
"The most disappointing evening so far in terms of the things we've spoken about, not gifting goals away, making sure we're in the game, getting control of the game. It wasn't there and it turned into a really, really difficult evening where the result and performance was nowhere near what we expected or wanted," Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior said in post-match press conference.
