The Premier League encounter featuring Leeds United and West Ham United ended with Leeds United emerging victorious with a 2-1 win. Initially seizing control with a 2-0 lead, Leeds United faced a resilient challenge from West Ham United in the latter stages of the match, yet ultimately held on to secure the three points winning.
Leeds United were quickest out of the blocks, and went 1-0 up when Brenden Aaronson netted in the third minute.
In the 15th minute Joe Rodon increased the lead for Leeds United with an assist by Sean Longstaff.
The goal that reduced the score to 2-1 came in stoppage time, when Mateus Fernandes found the net for West Ham United, with an assist by Jarrod Bowen.
The result means the sixth game in a row without a win for West Ham United.
