It had been a long time since Manchester United finished a Premier League game on the losing side. But Wednesday's away game to Newcastle United saw the end of their unbeaten run of 11 games as the match finished 2-1.

Newcastle United took the lead in added-time in the first half when Anthony Gordon made his mark with a penalty.

Newcastle United's Jacob Ramsey was sent off in the 45th minute.

Manchester United equalised 1-1 just before the half-time whistle as Casemiro netted, with an assist by Bruno Fernandes.

The deciding goal came in extra time, when William Osula found the net for Newcastle United, with an assist by Kieran Trippier.

Newcastle United are in 12th place after the game, while Manchester United are in third.
