Alderete Fernández the hero for Sunderland against Nottingham Forest

Alderete Fernández scored the only goal of the game in the first half in Sunderland's victory in the Premier League, as they beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 away.

The match was even in terms of goals until Sunderland took the lead in the 38th minute through Omar Alderete, with an assist by Granit Xhaka.

The result means the fifth game in a row without a win for Nottingham Forest.

The result means Nottingham Forest are now in 16th place in the table and that Sunderland are fourth in the league.
