Sunderland Claims Hard-Fought Victory in Back-and-Forth Battle Against AFC Bournemouth
In the beginning of the game, AFC Bournemouth led with 1-2, but Sunderland surged back to win. The final score after the Premier League game was 3-2.
AFC Bournemouth started the match best and took the lead when Amine Adli netted in the 7th minute, making it 1-0.
In the 15th minute Tyler Adams increased the lead for AFC Bournemouth.
Straight after the break, Bertrand Traoré made his mark and equalised for the team.
AFC Bournemouth's Lewis Cook was sent off in the 90th minute.
Sunderland are now in fourth place in the table, while AFC Bournemouth are ninth in the league.
"We're disappointed. We knew the game was going to be difficult and when you are 2-0 up and playing well, you want to finish it but it was definitely too early," coach Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth told Sky Sports.
Sunderland's Enzo Le Fée made it 2-1 in the 30th minute as he made his mark with a penalty.
Sunderland also made it 3-2 in the 69th minute, when Brian Brobbey found the net, with an assist by Enzo Le Fée, to complete Sunderland's come back.
The result means the fourth game in a row without a win for AFC Bournemouth.
Sunderland's next Premier League games are against Liverpool (away) on 3 December, Manchester City (away) on 6 December and Newcastle United (home) on 14 December. AFC Bournemouth play Everton (home) on 2 December, Chelsea (home) on 6 December and Manchester United (away) on 15 December.
