Sunderland equalised to make it 1-1, when Enzo Le Fée netted, with an assist by Nordi Mukiele, just three minutes later later.
It took until the 71st minute before Brian Brobbey scored the decider to complete Sunderland's come back.
It was Crystal Palace's seventh game in a row without a win.
Sunderland are in eighth place after the game, while Crystal Palace are in 13th.
