West Ham United's resilience paid off in the Premier League as they secured a vital 3-1 win over Newcastle United, marking their first victory after a six-game drought.
West Ham United equalised to make it 1-1, when Lucas Paquetá found the net, with an assist by Mateus Fernandes, in the 35th minute.
2-1 came through an own-goal in the 45th minute.
The 3-1 goal came in extra time, when Tomáš Souček scored for West Ham United to complete West Ham United's come back.
West Ham United are now in 18th place, while Newcastle United are in 13th place.
"Very happy. People should be proud the way we did it. We started well. They scored but the reaction of the boys was good," West Ham head coach Nuno Espirito Santo said.
"For me it's the moment of the game, the way we reacted immediately when things were against us," he added.
