The 28-year-old gained attention as one of the most appealing free agents following a solid performance for the Black Stars at the 2026 World Cup. His contributions during the tournament in North America evidently attracted the notice of various clubs, with interest rising from Europe and the Middle East.

Sibo debuted in the World Cup during Ghana's opening Group L match against Panama and started in the notable goalless draw against England. Overall, he participated in all four matches for Ghana, accumulating 249 minutes of play as the Black Stars advanced past the group stage before being eliminated by Colombia in the Round of 32. His composed ball-handling, strong work ethic, and versatility in different midfield roles established him as a sought-after player for clubs aiming to enhance their midfield with valuable experience.

Hull City emerged as the latest contender in the race, striving to bolster their lineup in preparation for the upcoming Championship season.
