Conor Daly returns to NASCAR Truck Series with Kaulig at Kansas

Veteran IndyCar driver Conor Daly participated in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway on September 16, 2026. This marked Daly's eighth career start in the NASCAR Truck Series and his second of the 2026 season, driving the No. 25 RAM 1500 for Kaulig Racing. Earlier in the summer, he finished 26th after starting 29th for the team at IRP.

Daly commented on the challenges of Kansas, stating, "Indianapolis was all about momentum and tight-quarters racing, but Kansas is a completely different animal. It’s fast, aerodynamic-dependent and wide open — you really have to nail your setup and trust the truck through those long corners."

His NASCAR career also includes three starts in both the Cup Series and the O'Reilly Series, as well as a participation in the 2023 Daytona 500, finishing 29th. Although best known for his open-wheel racing, Daly finished 12th while leading four laps in this year's Indianapolis 500 and has recorded two podium finishes in a total of 133 IndyCar starts.

Daly expressed his enthusiasm for racing with Kaulig Racing, saying, "I had an absolute blast racing for Kaulig Racing and Ram at Indianapolis. The team welcomed me with open arms, the truck was competitive, and getting to race in front of my hometown fans made it a special night. I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to keep the momentum going at Kansas."

Kaulig Racing has rotated through several drivers in its 'free-agent' No. 25 truck this year, including Tony Stewart, Travis Pastrana, Clint Bowyer, Jamie McMurray, and Ty Dillon, among others. The best finish for the No. 25 truck has been sixth at Watkins Glen, driven by AJ Allmendinger.
