Didi Dramani, the former head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, praised his players and technical staff for their dedication and resilience after the club secured a third-place finish in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season. The season presented significant challenges for the Phobians, who faced a surprising early exit from the MTN FA Cup against True Life FC.
Despite this initial setback, Hearts of Oak managed to progressively improve throughout the league campaign. However, inconsistent performances at their home ground limited their ability to launch a stronger title challenge. Dramani emphasized this third-place finish as a collective achievement, highlighting the contributions of everyone associated with the club.
In an interview with Asempa FM, he reflected on the journey, stating, "Considering the challenges we faced and where we started, our third-place finish in the Ghana Premier League was a job by the team." He acknowledged that expectations were high at the beginning of the season but noted that the team’s determination and unity were crucial in overcoming obstacles and securing a spot among the league’s top three.
Dramani reserved special commendation for his players, appreciating how they embraced the team’s philosophy and maintained focus throughout the demanding season. He also recognized the vital contributions from the technical staff and backroom personnel, reiterating that the success of the season was due to their united effort rather than the work of any single individual.
The experienced coach believes the third-place finish is a testament to the character of the team during a season characterized by adversity and challenges, with Hearts of Oak ultimately concluding the campaign on a positive note.
