Enzo Hincapie ganha confiança após sucesso de Roubaix

Enzo Hincapie, a promising 16-year-old cyclist from the United States, has recently made headlines with his remarkable performances at the Paris-Roubaix Juniors and E3 Saxo Classic. Finishing sixth in the highly competitive Paris-Roubaix race, Hincapie's results indicate that he is on the verge of significant victories in his cycling career.

Hincapie, the son of retired WorldTour professional George Hincapie, has shown substantial improvement since last year. He noted that his experience in junior racing has played a crucial role in his development. "I think one of the main differences was just the experience. I've already done it before, and had a year of junior racing, it wasn't too good of a season the year before," he explained.

His journey in cycling has been marked by notable achievements, including five US junior road national titles by the age of 16. Hincapie's versatility as a racer was recognized when he was announced as a member of the German U19 team Grenke-Auto Eder, which is part of the development program for the WorldTour squad Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe. Director of Development Tim Meeusen praised him as "a complete racer."

In addition to his national titles, Hincapie has gained international experience, winning a stage at the Internationale Cottbuser Junioren-Etappenfahrt in Germany. His victory at the amateur finals race at Athens Twilight Criterium, where he outperformed older competitors, further showcased his potential.

As he prepares for the new season, Hincapie is focused on making better decisions during races and positioning himself effectively within the peloton. "It's helped a lot, positioning-wise, and making the right decisions," he stated, emphasizing the importance of learning from past experiences.
