Flying Eagles settle down in Yamoussoukro for WAFU B U20

The Nigeria U20 boys, Flying Eagles, have settled down in Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire, in preparation for their participation in the WAFU B U20 Championship, which kicks off this weekend. The Cup-holders arrived in Abidjan, the Ivorian capital, on Monday before traveling to Yamoussoukro by road.

The team is housed at the Trio Corridor Hotel, with their first match scheduled against Ghana’s Black Satellites at the Lycée Scientifique on Monday afternoon. Notably, the Black Satellites were defeated by the Flying Eagles in the final of the last edition of the competition held in Lome, where the seven-time African champions emerged victorious with a score of 2-1.

Next Thursday, under the guidance of coach Abdu Maikaba, the Flying Eagles will face the Sparrow Hawks of Togo before taking on Burkina Faso’s Young Stallions on Sunday, August 2.
