Carapaz and Healy lead EF Education-EasyPost for Tour

Richard Carapaz and Ben Healy were confirmed to lead EF Education-EasyPost in the 2026 Tour de France, focusing on stage victories amid challenging climbs and transitional stages that matched the team's objectives. Joining them are Danes Kasper Asgreen and Michael Valgren, both Grand Tour stage winners, young Frenchman Alex Baudin, former US Pro road champion Sean Quinn, and newcomers Max Walker and Georg Steinhauser, completing an eight-rider roster.
Healy aimed for aggressive riding once again this year, after a successful breakaway last year that led him to hold the yellow jersey for two days and finish in the top ten overall. Carapaz, who has celebrated stage wins across all three Grand Tours, indicated his goal was to target specific individual stages and chase a second King of the Mountains (KOM) jersey. Both riders anticipated significant competition from rival teams throughout the three-week event.
Carapaz stated, "We have a versatile team, and that ultimately helps a lot with the team's ambitions. The general classification will depend heavily on how the race circumstances unfold. I want to go after stage wins and could try to repeat winning the mountains jersey."
His path to his fifth Tour de France appearance had not been smooth, as he last raced in 2024, where he showcased his climbing talents, securing the mountain classification title and achieving his only stage win to date on a summit finish at Superdévoluy. He missed the 2025 Tour due to gastrointestinal issues.
