Erling Haaland led party-goers in Norway's iconic rowing celebration as he joined Manchester City stars at team-mate Gianluigi Donnarumma's glamorous Italian wedding on July 24, 2026. The wedding took place in Fasano, southern Italy, where a host of City players gathered to celebrate the occasion. Haaland, accompanied by his partner, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, opted for a black suit, bow-tie, and sunglasses.
Amidst the festivities, Haaland was seen enthusiastically leading guests in recreating the famous 'rowing' celebration, which gained popularity during the recent World Cup in North America. The celebration was marked by chanting guests sitting on the floor, mimicking the victorious moments from the tournament.
City midfielder Mateo Kovacic was also present at the wedding, alongside other notable attendees including Italian football legend Paolo Maldini, former City manager Pep Guardiola, and new Tottenham signing Sandro Tonali.
Donnarumma married his childhood sweetheart, Alessia Elefante, an interior designer. The couple, who had been together for ten years, got engaged in May with a light-hearted Instagram message stating, "Long-term contract signed." They had tied the knot at the Church of Saint George Martyr in Locorotondo, a picturesque hilltop town, before joining the celebrations in Fasano.
The couple shares a son, Leo, born in 2024. As the night progressed, Haaland was seen enjoying the festivities, even playing a drum while leading the rowing chants, further adding to the celebratory atmosphere that mirrored the team's triumphant World Cup journey. After the tournament, Haaland had been vacationing in Italy with Johansen, making the wedding a perfect occasion for him to unwind and celebrate with friends.
