Beltrán achieved 84.2% of the vote in his fourth year on the ballot, while Jones secured 78.4% in his ninth year, surpassing the required 75% for induction. Jeff Kent, a 2000 NL MVP during his tenure with the San Francisco Giants, was inducted by the Contemporary Baseball Era Committee after falling off the BBWAA ballot in 2023. Known for his hard-nosed play, Kent displayed a more emotional side during his induction, shedding tears upon seeing his parents in the crowd. He recounted a transformative moment from his youth when his father promised him a pickup truck if he earned a college scholarship, spurring him to pursue academics and baseball at the University of California, Berkeley.
