Raja Athletic Club Announces New Coach
Newsroom
Raja Athletic Club officially confirmed their new head coach to succeed Fadlu Davids, who parted ways with the Botola Pro giants on Friday morning, June 13, 2026. In a 24-hour frenzy to secure a replacement to oversee the last seven games of the season, Nasreddine Nabi emerged as the primary target for the Casablanca-based outfit.
After reaching an agreement on personal terms, the move faced complications upon Nabi's arrival in Casablanca due to contractual disagreements about the officially offered length of the deal. Subsequently, club legend Youssef Safri and former Wydad Athletic Club head coach Sven Vandenbroeck emerged as potential alternatives. The club approached both options as they sought a swift resolution.
However, by the evening of June 13, the deal with Nabi was successfully finalized. He signed a one-year contract with an option to extend. The Tunisian mentor now looks forward to rebuilding his career after an inconsistent tenure in South Africa at Kaizer Chiefs.
