Morgan Rogers confirmed his excitement at joining Chelsea, described as the ‘biggest club in London.’ Chelsea had announced the signing of the England international from Aston Villa, with the 23-year-old forward committing to a contract that runs until 2033. The Premier League team disclosed the transfer on July 21, 2026, indicating that Rogers would integrate with head coach Xabi Alonso's squad as they prepare for the 2026/27 season.

Upon completing the move, Rogers expressed his enthusiasm for being part of the West London club: "I’m so excited. For me, Chelsea are the biggest club in London and a club I’ve always admired since I was a kid. Rogers joined the Blues after establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s exciting attacking talents during his time with Aston Villa, where he played a crucial role in scoring and assisting a total of 40 league goals in 85 Premier League appearances. His contributions were instrumental in helping Villa secure a top-four finish and achieve victory in the UEFA Europa League last season.

On the international stage, Rogers became a regular member of the England national team after making his senior debut in November 2024.
