Jomo Cosmos Football Club expressed immense pride in its Academy and Gauteng Development League (GDL) structures after four graduates earned moves to the Betway Premiership with TS Galaxy Football Club. On June 22, 2026, the club congratulated Mlondi Mcwango, Lennol Matebula, Zuko Gxabuza, and Mpho Maoke on their transfers, with the latter three having enjoyed a platform in the National First Division with Gomora United last season.
Maoke and Gxabuza had been part of the Ezenkosi family since they were 10 years old. The club stated that watching their growth from academy players to professional footballers "is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment shown by the players, coaches, and everyone involved in their development journey."
These achievements reaffirmed Jomo Cosmos Football Club’s commitment to nurturing young talent and creating pathways for aspiring footballers to achieve their dreams.
Cosmos extended sincere appreciation to Gomora United FC, stating: “We sincerely thank Gomora United FC for giving our players a stage and platform to grow, develop and shine. Your belief in their potential has played a vital role in their journey to the Betway Premiership.”
All four players are now on the books of the Rockets for the 2026/27 season, a club known for offering a platform for young talents to thrive since their arrival in the top-flight.
